Data Doesn't Lie but leftists do.

I hate to point fingers at the other side but in this case it is completely warranted. Republican voices everywhere are being silenced for having an opinion as we watch left leaning and even communist leaning groups have a voice against our President and against the real data that is presented by the CDC. The CDC consistently is quoted prominently in a light that works to enflame fear in the public. When a Republican says that, the first thing out of a Democrat's mouth is "You think it's a HOAX" let me be clear... COVID is real. I had it and yes, I have been attacked by people telling me that I didn't have it. That is a lie. I was diagnosed by a doctor but that was in the post-COVID phase and I was clinically ill during a time a test was not available. It became clear it was COVID after 4 weeks of little breathing improvement, up and down days and finally a fearful telecall appointment. After what is now almost 5 months I am suffering minor post-viral issues. This is real. But I certainly do not want to lose my - or your - freedom for it.

Tonight I was in the 4th school board meeting in Northville. It's painful to listen to them put forth a puppet show of caring what parents want when in reality they will do what Whitmer says and have little regard for citizen input or actual data. I witnessed Matt Wilk being revoked as the School Board President for making one comment to his aunt they disliked, sharing one screen shot questioning the seriousness of COVID (really the only one I thought was questionable only by the tone) and being crucified for "liking" a few posts the board (and many near hysterical parents and recent students) disapproved off. I really feel this is unacceptable and was a witch hunt. Regardless of whether his comments were phrased professionally most of the factual part of the comments were indeed true. For this I defended him and said he had a right to his opinion and to voice it even if it was in a manner I disliked. Later in that meeting (Monday July 20) I was disrespected by a person saying I was "disgusting" to have that view and that I didn't understand the first amendment.

Well, I think right now we are all very emotionally charged and are being attacked constantly. Emotions are high and it is truly sad we can't extend grace to opposing views. I have but I am seriously considering to not - as the beginning of the post suggests. But even now I back away. I do not like conflict or engaging. I don't like being "mean" but it is getting real folks. I have friends in hiding because of all the BLM things happening who do not support it but can't be vocal because they are black. That is terrible!!!! So add being afraid of their own people to the fear of police profiling and that is truly tragic! Every bit of this makes me angry.

It is clear there is an agenda to divide us and it is up to US ALL to not let that happen! If you are a liberal democrat reading this please know that we want to UNITE and not FIGHT.

Back to schools - the risk to children is less than many other childhood illnesses they get often. The risk to teachers under 45 is very low especially if otherwise healthy and even older teachers have a low risk level. That is reality. "One death is too many" REALLY? There is one guarantee in life and it is we all die. No school, doctor or politician can protect you 100% from death. It is impossible. We need to wake up and stop being afraid and step into reality. Maybe read death statistics for other causes as well for healthy perspective.

I have so much more to say and I will be saying it here. Facebook banned me for questioning the validity of information in an AARP article about COVID. I asked for peer reviewed references to support the claims in the article and asked "If infants can't have a blanket in their crib at the risk they may smother and die, then why are cloth masks safe?" I guess a real question means you get banned from facebook for a random 3 days? I just can't even believe the insanity. So although my ban is up tomorrow I will be refraining from much participation. I generously give my opinion on many topics. I guess those will be screenshot and used against me in the court of public opinion.

My opponent plays it safe and if that is where you like to be then I understand. But I, I like to say what I really feel. It doesn't mean I won't have a logical discussion though, and maybe even change my mind on many topics. I love new information and I am constantly open to it. Maybe that is why I feel we need to move on instead of staying trapped in fear.

Sadly, the school board here like maybe most others won't listen to me or even the opinion of doctors who live their district. They are chained to the CDC and MDE and of course Governor Whitmer to decide to ruin your child's school year and to take away their constitutional right to education. And I am sure that the teacher's union isn't much help either.

God save our children. It's truly tragic. They deserve to be untouched by this and have a happy childhood with playmates and schooldays. We need to stop ruining their future because of irrational fear.
